U10 Scotia Storm returned to North Rustico, PEI looking to defend their crown from the inaugural Ringette Rumble tournament the year before. The Storm finished the round robin in 2nd place, which included convincing victories against two PEI teams, the Bumble Bees and the host Ring Masters, and a hard loss to the Atlantic Jr. Attack. This set up a tough semi-final against a talented Dieppe Dragons team. In a back-and-forth matchup, Storm found themselves down two goals beyond the mid-point of the 2nd period. Re-igniting their commitment to WE OVER ME, the Storm chipped away, and eventually scored the winning goal late, sending them back to the Championship Game. The final would mark the 4th time the Storm would face the Jr. Attack this spring, and this game proved why the Jr. Attack are the team to beat in our region. In a contest that was much closer than the scoreboard would attest, the Storm fell short of defending their title, but left the island with their heads held high, and silver medals around their necks.
