They did it!
If there ever was a perfect Storm, it was in Montreal this weekend.
Congratulations to our U12 Scotia Storm team, who went undefeated (6-0) in the Montreal Ringette Challenge. Our goalies stood on their heads with 3 shutouts. The team put up a goal differential of +25. For a team has only been playing together for two months, they faced some strong competition and managed to take out every team from across Canada that tried to stop them on their road to the banner in Montreal.
How did they do it?
First, the Coach dedication on this team is second to none. The amount of research, planning, strategizing, training and honest to goodness love for their players is how they did it. The passion of the players on this team is also unmatchable. The amount of hard work, sportsmanship, grit, understanding of what it takes to achieve success (including actually going to bed for an 8:30 curfew) and love for their coaches and for each other is how they did it. The fans. Oh my the Storm fans and their ability to drown out any momentum on the other side was absolutely electric. You lit up that stadium all weekend long and that is how they did it. And above all else, there is no “me” in Scotia Storm. Only “we” as a foundation in all that they do. And that is how they did it.
Congratulations Montreal Ringette Challenge 2024 Champions, U12 Scotia Storm!
